*Overview* We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team at The Bush Inn Ovington. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast paced kitchen environment and a dedication to high quality food preparation. The Bush is a historic country pub situated on the banks of the river Itchen. We serve a menu that highlights local produce and showcases the best that the local area has to offer.

This position would suit someone looking to progress in their career and develop new skills. Training is provided alongside a long term development plan.

*Responsibilities*

* Perform daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. * Prepare and present food to an excellent standard. * Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. * Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure seamless service delivery. * Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

*Requirements*

* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant, cafe, pub or hospitality setting. * Strong culinary skills with a passion for food production and creativity. * Ability to work across multiple kitchen roles as needed. * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments. * A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development within the culinary field.
