Chef Manager Secondary School Catering Location: Guildford
Salary: £40,000 per annum + up to 10% bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am 4:00pm
Contract: Term-time only (42 weeks)
We are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to lead a busy secondary school catering operation in Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head Chef or Chef Manager looking for a move with a better work-life balance.
The role involves overseeing a high-volume kitchen producing approximately 150 meals per day, alongside a strong grab and go offering. You will have full responsibility for the kitchen operation, including managing a team of 11 staff.
The Role Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operation

Produce approximately 150 meals daily

Oversee a high-volume grab and go service

Manage a team of 11 (1 Cook, 3 Customer Service Assistants, 7 General Assistants)

Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and compliance

Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen budgets

Requirements Previous experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef

Experience in high-volume catering environments

Strong leadership and team management skills

Good understanding of food safety and health and safety regulations

Ability to manage multiple service streams effectively

Whats on Offer £40,000 salary plus up to 10% performance bonus
