The Role:

As Chef Manager, you will take full responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital kitchen, ensuring exceptional food standards, compliance, and team leadership. You'll play a vital role in supporting patient wellbeing through carefully planned and prepared meals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen and catering operations
Plan and deliver nutritious, well-balanced menus tailored to patient and staff needs
Ensure full compliance with food safety (HACCP), allergen management, and health & safety standards
Manage stock control, ordering, and budget effectively
Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing catering team
Maintain excellent food quality, presentation, and service delivery
Build strong working relationships with healthcare staff and stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role
Background in healthcare, education, or contract catering environments (desirable)
Strong knowledge of food safety, compliance, and kitchen management systems
Excellent leadership and communication skills
A proactive, organised, and hands-on approach
Relevant culinary qualifications
