The Role
You will be part of a friendly and experienced kitchen team, preparing home-style, comforting dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. While the food focuses on hearty, honest cooking, there is plenty of opportunity to be creative and contribute to menus and daily specials.
The kitchen caters for hotel guests, events, and special occasions, offering a varied and rewarding workload with a fair and sustainable rota.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality, home-style dishes with a creative twist

Contribute ideas to menus and seasonal specials

Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards

Support and guide junior kitchen staff when required

Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth daily service

Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality in every dish

Working Hours and Benefits
5 days on, 2 days off

Approximately 4045 hours per week

£17 per hour

Staff meals provided while on shift

Fair and consistent rota planning

Please note: due to the location, you must have your own transport as there is no public transport access.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar Chef role

Relevant professional culinary qualifications

Passion for hearty, home-style cooking and quality ingredients

Calm, reliable, and confident in a busy kitchen

Positive team player with a creative mindset

Full driving licence and own vehicle
