In 2024, the organisation became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), marking a new chapter in its evolution and strengthening its governance for the future.

They are now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to lead the charity through its next phase of strategic development.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide inspirational leadership across the organisation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, financial sustainability, strong governance, and meaningful engagement with residents, families, staff, donors, regulators and the wider community.

For this role, we are keen to hear from candidates with senior leadership experience in the care sector or a closely aligned environment .

You will bring a strong understanding of CQC requirements, proven financial acumen, and the ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will be an empowering leader, capable of motivating and developing teams, and confident in representing the charity externally.

A genuine commitment to Horsfall Houses mission, supporting older people with compassion, dignity and respect, is essential.

Given the charitys ambitions for the future, you will also bring an appreciation of the role that fundraising and external partnerships play in sustaining high-quality care.

While the team has strong community support, there is significant potential to grow corporate and philanthropic relationships, and the CEO will play an important part in shaping this direction.
