Role Overview:

The CFO is responsible for leading NetBet’s financial strategy, governance, and performance management across all jurisdictions. This role ensures robust financial planning, reporting, and control frameworks while supporting strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Financial Reporting & Management Information

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting to senior leadership and the Board. Owning NetBet’s P&L, including NGR, EBITDA and margin performance across all markets.
  • Develop and continuously enhance monthly dashboards and management reports across all NetBet markets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights and driving performance improvements.
  • Oversee the timely preparation and submission of entity-level management accounts and board reporting packs.


Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead financial analysis to assess company performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of strategic and operational decisions, providing clear recommendations.
  • Establish and manage a robust budget-to-actual reporting cycle, including forecasting and trend analysis.
  • Identify and drive cost optimisation initiatives across the business.


Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and Executive Management to define and execute NetBet’s financial strategy and overall strategic plan.
  • Identify and execute cost optimisation opportunities without compromising growth.
  • Ensure the Group’s legal and corporate structure supports tax efficiency, operational effectiveness, and reporting optimisation.
  • Provide strategic decision support across all business functions and markets.


Processes, Systems & Controls

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve financial processes, systems, and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Strengthen financial governance and risk management frameworks across all entities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to enhance financial systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Drive innovation within the finance function through technology and automation.


Audit, Compliance & Governance

  • Oversee and support financial audits across all jurisdictions, ensuring successful and timely completion.
  • Maintain and reinforce the financial stability, governance, and compliance of REI and NetBet RO entities.
  • Ensure effective invoice review and approval processes are in place and consistently applied.


Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and key partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial and strategic matters.


Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team members perform effectively, demonstrate attention to detail, and contribute to overall business success.


Project & Initiative Leadership

  • Drive key strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial priorities.


Person Specifications:


  • Proven CFO or senior finance leader experience ideally in iGaming, online betting or high-growth digital businesses.
  • Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
  • Highly analytical with strong-data driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Able to operate in imperfect data environments and still make decisions.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance driven environment
  • Strong systems mindset with experience implementing modern finance systems/processes and real-time reporting.
