Job Description

Role: Chief of Staff

Sector: Financial Services

Location: London

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to work side-by-side with the CEO of a fast-growing, PE-backed financial services business that’s always been at the forefront of innovation. With significant international reach, strong profitability, and long-term investor backing, it is entering a pivotal phase of maturity and strategic optionality.

This role sits at the heart of the executive team, shaping priorities, driving momentum, and making things happen across the business. You’ll translate strategy into action, connect the dots across teams, and keep everyone moving with clarity and speed.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love turning complexity into practical action, and want a role where every day matters, this could be the perfect fit.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the CEO’s trusted partner: help set priorities, make decisions faster, and turn ideas into results.
  • Drive key initiatives end-to-end: from high-stakes projects to growth programs, you’ll remove blockers, coordinate across teams, and make sure the business hits its objectives.
  • Keep the executive team aligned: make sure information flows, decisions stick, and leadership focus stays on what really matters.
  • Shape messaging and narrative: craft executive communications, board packs, investor updates, and CEO-facing materials that are clear, persuasive, and on brand.
  • Support major transactions and growth milestones: coordinate diligence, prepare for liquidity events, and help the business execute with pace and confidence.
  • Own the rhythm of the business: plan and run leadership meetings, off-sites and executive touchpoints.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a Chief of Staff role, working closely with CEOs, boards, and/or investors.
  • 10+ years’ experience blending corporate experience (investment banking, top-tier consulting, law) with hands-on exposure to fast-moving, scaling environments.
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, fintech or wealth.
  • Confidence in high-pressure situations and major transactions (PE deals, exits, or liquidity events).
  • Sharp commercial judgement and the ability to translate complexity into clear priorities and practical action.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, with experience shaping executive-level narratives.
  • A natural ability to influence without authority and bring senior stakeholders along.
  • High EQ, with a coaching-style approach.
