Children and Family Public Law Solicitor, 3+ PQE At least three years’ experience working within a Care Department as a Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive carrying a full caseload of care proceedings Accredited member of the Law Society’s Children’s Panel Have established a relationship with CAFCASS and other stakeholders Dynamic in approach and uses initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients Ability to deal with sensitive situations and difficult clients in a professional, confidential manner Sufficient knowledge of the legal process to understand the work being undertaken Knowledge of the work of Children and Families Public Law Department and the relevant law Experience of public funding procedures would be advantageous Driving licence and use of own vehicle preferable but ability to travel between offices, courts and stakeholder office essential
