Days & Hours Rotas are done three months in advance. Shifts to be covered are:

Term time

Week 1 – 35 hours

Week 2 – 19.5 hours

Week 3 – 19.5 hours

Week 4 – 35 hours

Including two weekends a month 7am to 7pm Saturday and Sunday

School holidays

5 x 12 hour shifts a week 7am – 7pm

£25 payment is made for any shifts picked up with less than 24 hours’ notice due to sickness etc.

There are two staff on shift at all times.

Overview of role: My client is an 8 year old boy who is intellectually very able. He communicates using both high tech and low tech communication devices. He attends a mainstream school with two to one support. Homebased carers do not support him at school. He has two to one support to accommodate his moving and handling needs. There is a well established therapy team who provide training on all aspects of his care.
