About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a small, nurturing childrens home supporting two children with complex emotional needs in the BH31 area.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality, child-centred care in line with the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Registered Manager in line with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015

  • Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the staff team

  • Ensure high standards of emotional and physical care are consistently delivered

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in the home

  • Embed and develop therapeutic, child-centred approaches including PACE/DDP

  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements and Quality Standards

  • Recruit, supervise, support and develop staff

  • Build strong partnerships to promote positive outcomes for children

  • Ensure the Statement of Purpose remains accurate and embedded in practice

  • Manage budgets, rotas, and on-call responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance processes, audits, and service improvements


About You

You will be a confident and resilient leader who is committed to improving the lives of children and young people. You will be able to build meaningful relationships, lead by example, and create a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

  • Significant experience in residential childrens homes

  • Experience managing or deputising in a registered childrens home

  • Strong knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and develop a team

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties

  • Experience implementing therapeutic models such as PACE/DDP
