Location: Thurrock, EssexSalary: £60,000Job Type: Full-Time | PermanentHours: Full-time with on-call responsibilitiesAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead the setup and day-to-day management of a new 2-bed childrens residential home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).This role will oversee Ofsted registration, safeguarding, staff leadership, and the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic care. You will create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can recover from trauma and achieve positive outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the operation and management of the childrens homeOversee safeguarding, care planning, and risk managementEnsure compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Ofsted standardsManage staffing, rotas, budgets, and resourcesPromote therapeutic approaches including PACESupport young peoples education, wellbeing, and developmentMaintain accurate records, reporting, and quality assuranceBuild relationships with families, local authorities, and professionalsRecruit, supervise, and develop staff teamsLead the home through registration and ongoing inspection processesRequirementsLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential ChildcarePrevious Registered Manager experience with Good or Outstanding Ofsted historyStrong knowledge of safeguarding and childrens home regulationsExperience commissioning or opening new homes (desirable)Ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality careHome Overview2-bed childrens residential homeSupporting young people aged 1017 with EBDPre-Ofsted stage Registered Manager will lead registration and setupThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to shape a new home from the outset and lead a high-quality therapeutic service.Apply now to be considered for this Registered Manager opportunity.JBRP1_UKTJ
