Mental Health Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work full-time in a school setting, supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health and committed to making a positive, long-term impact on young people's lives. Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment Experience supporting children or young people with mental health or SEMH needs Strong communication and relationship-building skills Understanding of safeguarding procedures Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Relevant experience may include: education, psychology, youth work, care work, counselling, or mental health support roles.
