Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire, UK Salary: £31,279 to £33,705 (sleep allowance included)
Job Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a children’s residential service in Hatfield as a Children's Residential Support Worker. Key Responsibilities:
* Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, tailored to their age.
* Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
* Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
* Support children and young people in the home, promoting their independence and well-being.
* Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and reward systems.
* Support behavioural management safely and sympathetically.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives, such as psychologists.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
* Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
* Must hold a full UK driver’s licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
* Must be over the age of 21.
* Ability to commute to Hatfield.
