£33,500 - £35,600 including sleep ins

Full time – (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Bank Holidays)

Requirements

*

Must have the right to live and work in the UK

*

Must be over 21 years old

*

Must hold a full clean driving licence

*

Must be able to work long shifts, including evenings and weekends

*

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Health & Social Care – children and young people pathway)

*

Experience working in children’s residential care (minimum 1 year desirable)

*

Strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s welfare

About the role
As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you’ll take a lead role on shift, supporting and mentoring your team while providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people. You will help shape care plans, ensure the smooth daily operation of the home, and play a key role in driving quality and positive outcomes for every child in your care.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and coordinating daily shift planning and care delivery

Supporting staff and contributing to performance assessments

*

Promoting safeguarding and maintaining a safe home environment

*

Encouraging young people to engage in education, social, and community activities

*

Supporting healthy lifestyles, including meal preparation and personal care

*

Contributing to reports, plans, and risk assessments

*

Ensuring compliance with care regulations and health & safety guidelines

*

Role modelling professional conduct and high standards of care

*

Attending meetings and training sessions

*

Transporting young people to appointments, education, and activities
