Location: Andover, Hampshire, South East, UKCHP Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:Travel to customer sites across the UK to carry out routine servicing and first-response breakdowns on CHP units ranging from 30kW to 500kWPerform a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, with occasional overnight stays depending on site locationProduce detailed site service reports, clearly identifying faults, remedial actions, and improvement opportunitiesLiaise effectively with customers, service coordinators, and the wider technical team to ensure smooth service deliveryProvide technical support to colleagues and contribute to the wider technical support functionSupport internal and customer training activities where requiredMaintain strict health & safety standards, including completion of risk assessments and method statementsAct as a professional brand ambassador, representing the business to a high technical and ethical standardRequirements:Minimum 3 years experience as a CHP Service or Maintenance Engineer, or within a closely related power generation roleStrong practical knowledge of LTHW hot water systems, including pumps, inverter drives, flow rates, delta T, boilers, and BMS interfacesSolid electrical engineering knowledge of LV power generation and distribution systemsExperience with CHP control and monitoring platforms such as ComAp, Web Supervisor, InteliMonitor, LiteEdit, TEM / TPEMComfortable working with diagnostic equipment including flue gas analysers and digital flow / temperature profiling toolsConfident working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with office-based teamsPositive, proactive mindset with strong customer-facing skillsWillingness to travel, cover high mileage, and stay away from home when requiredEssential Qualifications:Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification18th Edition (IEE Wiring Regulations)Strong IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience using laptop-based engine control softwareManufacturer training (e.g. MWM)Gas Safe certificationPackage & Benefits:Competitive salaryCompany vehicle with optional private usePaid overtime and overnight stay allowancesEnhanced pension scheme, life cover, and health & wellbeing support25 days holiday, increasing with length of serviceOngoing training and manufacturer-led coursesLong-term, stable career within a supportive and technically focused teamIf youre an experienced CHP Engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical background and are looking for a field-based role with a well-established power solutions business in the West Midlands, this opportunity is well worth exploring.
