Providing Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solutions into the African Consumer and Industrial markets, this pan-African platform provides exposure to leading projects in the energy space. The Business Development Director is a key, critical member of the senior executive team, and is responsible for delivering a pipeline of solutions through a dynamic, highly-experienced, regionally dispersed team.

Key responsibilities include:

Development of business development strategy: the current strategy is well defined and has yielded great success with partnership development of some leading energy users. The idea is that this current strategy is now extended to similar yielding partnerships across new industries. Leading final stage negotiations and closing out on contracts Keeping up to date and implementing game-changing technologies (both in terms of power solutions in collaboration with the technical teams) as well as in terms of sales/CRM and BD related tools Representation to the DFI shareholding on a monthly basis

We are thus looking to engage with highly experienced Business Development individuals who are able to customize and commercialize power solutions - this is not a role involving developing projects in the utility space - it requires an understanding of how to 'commoditize' energy and compete in the market on value add strategies. In order to be considered suitable for an interview with the recruiter, please ensure that you resume highlights your successes to date in this space. We are open to engaging with people from aligned industries, but your network must involve a depth of understanding in the commercial sector, and successful development of energy/power related decarbonization solutions that go beyond simple solar and BESS applications.

Pan-African experience is critical - we are not looking to engage candidates with depth in only one region of Africa.
