Civil Engineer\n\nLocation: Leeds\n Salary: Competitive plus benefits\n\nI am recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to work across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects while developing their technical skills and progressing within a supportive team.\n\nAs a Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects across sectors including highways, drainage, commercial, residential, industrial, petrochemical, food and energy. You will prepare technical drawings, calculations and design specifications while working closely with colleagues to produce coordinated, high quality engineering solutions.\n\nWorking within a collaborative environment, you will help maintain high technical standards, support project delivery and develop strong relationships across design teams.

You will also take responsibility for planning your workload, assisting colleagues during busy periods and contributing to efficient project resourcing.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nUndertake civil engineering design in accordance with industry standards and regulations.\n\nProduce and check drawings, calculations and specifications.\n\nSupport multidisciplinary coordination and contribute to integrated design solutions.\n\nAssist with highways, drainage and general infrastructure designs across multiple sectors.\n\nHelp prioritise project delivery and manage workload effectively.\n\nContribute to a positive team environment and maintain strong working relationships.\n\nAbout You\n\nDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering with ideally 1 to 3 years experience.\n\nInterest or experience in highways design is preferred.\n\nWorking towards Chartered status.\n\nCapable user of AutoCAD, with some experience in Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.\n\nStrong communication skills and knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.\n\nProactive, motivated and an enthusiastic team player.\n\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nPenguin Recruitment is operating as a Recruitment Agency for this position.
