Job description - the role

On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Civil Engineer for a 12 Month Contract based in London.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
Purpose of the role:
The Civil Engineering team in London provide engineering services on projects within London and Internationally, ranging from high quality public realm supporting office developments to large scale infrastructure projects and city-wide masterplans. Within this temporary role you will contribute to the design and preparation of deliverables associated with a number of our current projects.
What you'll do:
Contributing to the civil engineering design on projects. This includes preparation and review of technical deliverables including drawings, reports, specifications and presentations
Producing bid documents and supporting general business development activities
Contributing to a culture of technical excellence and the development of technical skills within the wider team through planning and delivery of initiatives and training
Embracing our Culture, Equity and Inclusion strategy and vision, both through your own behaviour and influencing othersThe skills you'll need:
Degree in Civil Engineering (typically MEng, BEng or MSc) or similar.
A strong technical background in one or more core areas of civil engineering; such as earthworks, roads and streets, public realm, utilities, flood risk or drainage.
Experience of relevant design tools which may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or Navisworks.
An ability to manage a complex and varied workload often involving multiple concurrent projects
An ability to focus on design excellence and personal motivation to strive continuous quality improvementAbout the client
