Job Description
Civil Site Engineer, Heavy Civils, Thames Water Capital Delivery \nLocation: Thames Valley area \nContract Type: long-term\n\nHelp deliver Thames Water's Capital Delivery programme\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support heavy civils construction on a Thames Water Capital Delivery contract in teh Thames Valley area. Works include pipelines, deep drainage, shafts, chambers, reinforced concrete structures, and associated temporary works that improve resilience and environmental performance across the network. \nThis is a long-term opportunity within a busy programme with the ideal Engineering having Civil Water experience.\n\nYou will provide accurate setting out, engineering control, and quality assurance to keep construction safe, compliant, and on programme.
Working closely with the Site Manager, Project Engineer, and framework delivery teams, you will coordinate subcontractors, maintain site records, and manage handover in line with Thames Water requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProduce and update site drawings in AutoCAD and, where required, Civil 3D.\nMaintain drawing registers and revision control in line with framework standards.\nPrepare and verify ITPs, QA records, as-builts, red-lines, and full handover packs to Thames Water documentation standards.\nSupport temporary works compliance and inspections with the TWC.\nContribute to RAMS, permits, lift plans, and daily briefings, ensuring Thames Water health and safety procedures are followed.\nUndertake materials testing and reconciliations, including concrete cube tests and backfill compaction checks.\nRaise and track Technical Queries and Early Warning Notices in line with NEC processes.\nCoordinate traffic management, utilities interfaces, and access constraints in an urban environment.\nMaintain site diaries, progress reports, and survey logs to support programme and commercial control.\nAbout You\n\nProven experience as a Site Engineer delivering heavy civils within the water sector, ideally on Thames Water or similar UK water capital delivery frameworks.\nStrong setting out capability and sound understanding of engineering control principles.\nProficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
