Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Civil & Structural Designer. Reporting to the Directors, the purpose of the role is to support the delivery of engineering design projects across a range of industrial sectors. This role will play a key part in producing high-quality 2D and 3D design outputs, working closely with engineers and project teams.

Key Duties:

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D civil and structural designs for industrial projects.
• Develop models and drawings using Tekla and/or Revit, Advanced Steel or equivalent.
• Support engineers in delivering design solutions from concept through to construction.
• Prepare GA drawings, detailed design drawings and fabrication details.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes and client specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support junior designers where required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in civil or structural design.
• Minimum qualification: HNC or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong capability in both 2D and 3D design.
• Experience using Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Background in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical or food and beverage.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, standards and detailing practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
