Our client, has a requirement for a Senior Civil & Structural Design Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Middlesbrough
Role Purpose:
To provide Senior Civil and Structural (Design) Engineering services, delivering high-quality design outputs for industrial projects, liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and consultants, and ensuring compliance with UK standards and project requirements.
Job Role Responsibilities:
Civil and Structural design engineering for industrial projects
Development of Civil and Structural specifications, reports, and calculations
Preparation and authoring of technical reports and specifications
Checking, approval, and verification of steelwork and foundation calculations
Development of grading plans, cable ducts, drainage routes, hardstanding, and trenches
Preparation of scopes of work and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
Liaison with multi-disciplinary design teams, clients, and architectural consultants
Conduct site surveys and client visits as required
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Chartered status with a relevant UK professional body
HND or higher in Civil & Structural Engineering
Proven design experience in Chemical Plant, Industrial, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical buildings
Hands-on experience on Industrial / Petro / Chemical / Pharmaceutical projects
Proficiency in 3D Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Advance Steel, or 3D AutoCAD (advantageous)
Familiarity with Navisworks and 3D point cloud survey techniques (advantageous)
Experience liaising with building control and compliance standards
Knowledge of infrastructure adoptable standards
Experience working with internal multi-disciplinary design teams and wider client teams
