Position: Civils Project Manager\n\nJob ID: 936/56\n\nLocation: Plymouth\n\nRate/Salary: 60k-65k \n\nType: Perm \n\nHSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Maritime Shipping, Energy and Subsea sectors –We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.\n\nThe below job description will outline this position of: Civils Project Manager\n\nTypically, this person will take ownership of diving civil engineering projects from initial enquiry through to delivery, ensuring each is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. A background in civil project management is , ideally within diving civils or a closely related engineering discipline. They will coordinate teams, resources, and budgets while serving as the main point of contact for clients.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities of the Diving Engineering Project Manager:\n\nTake overall responsibility for planning and delivering a portfolio of diving civil engineering projects.\n\t\nCoordinate manpower, equipment, and logistics to meet project deadlines and operational demands.\n\t\nConduct site visits, surveys, and kick-off meetings to scope out works.\n\t\nPrepare accurate quotations and set cost expectations with clients and internal stakeholders.\n\t\nNegotiate and procure specialist contractors, suppliers, and equipment as required.\n\t\nDraft and maintain Diving Project Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments in line with regulations and industry standards.\n\t\nProactively identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.\n\t\nMonitor progress against budget and schedule, resolving issues to keep projects on track.\n\t\nLead and motivate operational and site teams, providing support and addressing concerns as required.\n\t\nReport on project outcomes and utilise feedback to drive continuous improvement across future works.\n\nQualifications and Requirements for the Diving Engineering Project Manager:\n\nBased in, or willing to relocate to, Plymouth\n\t\nBackground in engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with civil project management experience—ideally within diving civils or a closely related field.\n\t\nExcellent communication skills, confident in liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and operational teams.\n\t\nStrong leadership, organisational and problem-solving abilities.\n\nThis vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical Ltd who have been appointed to act as a recruitment partner for this role
