Site Manager – Civils / Groundworks (Surfacing & Car Parks)\nDurham | 12–16 Week Contract | Rate Negotiable DOE\n\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Site Manager to oversee a groundworks project in Durham, specialising in surfacing and car park works on a 12–16 week contract.\n\nThis role requires a strong leader with proven experience in civils and groundworks, capable of managing trades on site while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and programme delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Managing and coordinating groundworks and surfacing trades\n\n * \n\n Overseeing day-to-day site operations\n\n * \n\n Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with programme\n\n * \n\n Full responsibility for Health & Safety compliance\n\n * \n\n Quality control of surfacing and associated civils works\n\n * \n\n Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and senior management\n\n * \n\n Maintaining site organisation and standards\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience managing civils / groundworks projects\n\n * \n\n Strong background in surfacing and car park schemes\n\n * \n\n Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations\n\n * \n\n Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme\n\n * \n\n SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid (essential)\n\n * \n\n Temporary Works / Streetworks (beneficial – amend if required)\n\nRate negotiable depending on experience.\n\nThis is a great opportunity for a Site Manager with a solid civils background who is confident delivering surfacing and car park projects in a fast-paced environment.\n\nFor more information or to apply, please get in touch.\n\nAshley at Approach Personnel
