Job Title: Class 1 HGV Driver Curtain Side & Flatbed Work
Location: Wakefield (Trailer Site)
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour
Overtime: Time and a half after 10 hours

About the Role:
Recruit A Driver is seeking reliable Class 1 drivers to work on a long-standing Chep pallets contract. This role involves delivering using curtain side and flatbed trailers from an unmanned trailer site in Wakefield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive curtain side or flatbed trailers on regional deliveries

  • Operate automatic vehicles

  • Follow clear delivery instructions, with regular trailer numbers sent via text

  • Start each shift at 06:00

Shifts & Hours:

  • Day shifts with a 06:00 start

  • Flexible working patterns available

  • Overtime paid after 10 hours

Requirements:

  • Confident using ratchets and straps to secure loads

  • Own a smartphone to use the delivery app

  • New Class 1 licence holders considered, subject to approval
