We are currently recruiting reliable and professional Class 1 Drivers for our client based in the Barnsley area. This role involves the safe transportation of caged and palletised deliveries, with opportunities for both day and night shifts.
Key Benefits:
- Highly flexible shifts available Monday to Sunday (weekend rates differ from weekdays to reflect the schedule)
- Competitive pay rate of £16.50 per hour, plus holiday pay and paid breaks
- Immediate start dates for the right candidates
A typical shift includes:
- Early starts from 0230am
- Conducting thorough vehicle safety checks and ensuring loads are correctly secured
- Occasional manual handling (handball) of goods
- Potential to operate Class 2 vehicles when required
Essential Requirements:
- Full Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence, with no TT, DR, CD, or IN endorsements
- Minimum 12 months recent Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph (DQC) card
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism
