Are you looking for a permanent, full-time role that offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to be part of a dynamic team? We have an exciting opportunity for you to become a key player in our logistics operations where you will be required to cover holiday/sickness, covering a wide range of collections and deliveries.

About the Role:

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

• Use a range of trailers including refrigerated units with tail lifts, curtain sider, and flatbed to carry out multi drop deliveries and collections across the local area.
• This includes delivering milk cages to retail stores and returning empties in the Aberdeen area, delivering bakery products to retail, wholesale, and convenience outlets across Aberdeen (involving tail-lift operation and manual handling), and delivering and collecting bulk materials such as scrap metals, as well as oil and gas equipment.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
• This is a permanent full time position to cover holiday and sickness. Therefore, a flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work, including weekends as and when required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Current Counterbalance licence.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
