Job Title: Class 1 Driver Trunking / Collections NormantonLocation: NormantonPay Rate: £16.50 per hourHours: Monday to Friday | 08:30 / 09:00 start (1011 hour shifts)Job Type: Holiday Cover (Potential for Ongoing Work)Start Date: ImmediateAbout the Role:Recruit A Driver are currently seeking a reliable and professional Class 1 Driver for a holiday cover role based in Normanton, with the potential to become ongoing for the right candidate.This is a straightforward and structured position, involving one delivery and one collection per shift at the same location, handling A-frames of granite.Youll follow a set weekly route:Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Chieveley (RG17 7TJ) Tuesday & Thursday: Thurrock (SS17 9FJ) Due to site waiting times (up to an hour), this role suits someone who is patient, communicative, and professional.Key Responsibilities: Complete one delivery and one collection per shift (same site) Safely transport A-frames of granite Operate FLT to assist with offloading when required Communicate effectively with site staff Carry out vehicle checks and complete paperwork Maintain a careful and safety-conscious approach at all times Whats in it for you? £16.50 per hour Monday to Friday no weekends Simple, low-drop workload No handball involved Opportunity to move into ongoing work Structured routes and consistent work pattern Requirements: Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence CPC & Digital Tachograph card FLT experience (essential) Good communication skills Patient and professional attitude Careful approach due to high-value load Additional Info: Start time: 08:30 / 09:00 Shift length: 1011 hours One delivery & one collection per day (same location) No manual handling forklift use required Why work with Recruit A Driver?
