The Best Connection West Bromwich is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our reputable client based in the heart of West Bromwich. Ongoing shifts are available.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers and building sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
2-5 deliveries per day nationwide
Opening and closing curtains and securing loads (FLT used for unloading)
Start times between 04:00-06:00, Monday to Friday
No weekend work and no nights out
Driving safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
Adhering to all health and safety standards, The Highway Code, and vehicle regulations
Completing regular vehicle checks
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Driver CPC Qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
Curtain-side trailer experience (preferred)
Experience using straps to secure loads (advantageous)
Pay & Benefits
£16.00 per hour
£24.00 per hour after 8 hours worked per day
