Job Title: Class 1 HGV DriverReports To: Warehouse & Distribution Manager/Assistant and/or Depot ManagerJob PurposeTo ensure the safe and efficient delivery of products to customers within a designated area while maintaining excellent customer service standards. You will also be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of your designated vehicle and compliance with all relevant safety and legal requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Customer ServiceSafely deliver products to customers within the specified area, ensuring all items are handled with care.Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs and requests professionally and courteously.Inform customers of any stock shortages or delivery issues, and communicate promptly with the office to resolve problems.Collect payments, complete delivery notes, and return sheets accurately.Vehicle Preparation & MaintenanceConduct routine vehicle checks and operator maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.Ensure all customer pallets are loaded safely and securely onto the vehicle before departure.Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the vehicle.Compliance & DocumentationComply with VOSA and working time guidelines, ensuring all legal requirements are met.Complete all required safety and vehicle check sheets, submitting them to the Distribution Manager.Maintain confidentiality regarding customer premises and operational information....
