Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Stoke-on-Trent, to carry out deliveries and also multi-drop throughout the Midlands, North Wales and Yorkshire.

Starting hourly rate will be between £14 and £14.50

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Collection and delivery of goods to the required location and obtaining proof of delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries/collections, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience:

  • Class 2 Licence (Cat C)
  • Current CPC and digital driving card
  • Clean Driving Licence and 2 years driving experience preferred
  • Ability to operate a tail lift
  • Competent in using PPT or similar
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
