Recruit A Driver are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Category C) HIAB Driver to support a well-established builders merchant based in Dewsbury. This role provides ad-hoc cover for holiday and sickness , making it ideal for drivers looking for flexible work.
You will be delivering building materials using a class 2 vehicle with HIAB offload only , meaning there is no manual handling required . Deliveries are local across West Yorkshire within a well-organised and supportive fleet operation.
The Role
Driving a Class 2 vehicle
Delivering timber, blocks, plaster, bulk bags and palletised goods
HIAB offload only no handball
Local delivery routes across West Yorkshire
Up to 15 drops per shift , planned across 3 delivery runs
Providing ad-hoc cover for holidays and sickness
Key Details
£18.00 per hour
Start times between 06:30 07:00
Physically lighter work compared to standard multi-drop
Well-structured routes
Supportive on-site transport team
Requirements
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
HIAB certificate (remote, hook or grab experience preferred)
Confident and professional when dealing with customers
Moffett licence beneficial but not essential
Reliable and safety-focused approach
