Junior Accountant – Accountancy Practice (Near Woking)

Are you an ambitious Junior Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a friendly and well-established accountancy practice based near Woking, is looking for a motivated individual to join their small but busy team.

This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and work closely with a range of owner-managed businesses across various industries.

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for preparing year-end accounts, assisting with management accounts, and supporting the senior team with client work. This is a varied position where you’ll be encouraged to build client relationships and develop a strong understanding of their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

Assisting with management accounts and bookkeeping tasks

Supporting with VAT returns and basic tax computations

Liaising with clients and providing day-to-day assistance

Working closely with senior accountants to ensure deadlines are met

Requirements
About You:

2–3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice is essential

Confident in preparing accounts independently

AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)

Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

Keen to learn and progress in a supportive team environment
