Job Description
Our client, a rapidly expanding Financial Services firm in London, are looking for a motivated and proactive Client Onboarding Manager to lead their Client Delivery Analysts and ensure exceptional onboarding and service delivery for their clients. This role is central to driving operational excellence, managing risk and control responsibilities, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to remove blockers and deliver a seamless, high‑quality client experience.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, resilient manager with strong stakeholder skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and experience in onboarding within financial services.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage team to deliver efficient end‑to‑end client onboarding, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery and adherence to internal AML/CTF policies and procedures.
- Escalate or own issues when needed, and ensure quick resolution
- Act as the point of escalation for complex onboarding queries while serving as a subject matter expert on AML onboarding
- Signing off low & medium risk onboarding files
- Coordinate with internal teams to address dependencies and remove blockers impacting client delivery
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Delivery Analysts
- Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and ensure a high‑performance culture
- Support workload planning, prioritisation, and team efficiency
- Act as the point of escalation for operational issues affecting clients
- Partner with and influence stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve delivery challenges
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors providing KYC, ID verification, and screening services
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Use data and insights to track team performance, monitor KPIs, and propose improvements
- Preparing management information (MI) and periodic reporting
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable onboarding and delivery workflows
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in client delivery, client onboarding, or service management roles
- Direct management experience, ideally leading operational or client delivery teams
- Must have experience working in the financial services industry and a solid understanding of onboarding corporate clients, including complex ownership and control structures.
- Experience working in FinTech/ high-risk sectors would be advantageous
- Demonstrated ability working in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks related to AML, anti-bribery, corruption, and financial crime.
- Strong problem‑solving capability with a proactive, delivery‑focused mindset
- Comfortable analysing data and using insights to optimise team performance
