Our Equity Derivatives Trading Operations team supports the Equity Trading and Derivatives business, which trades a wide range of listed and unlisted equity-based products across Australia, Asia, EMEA, and the US. The team is dedicated to delivering operational excellence by providing specialist services such as verification, confirmation, booking, and settlement, with a strong emphasis on quality and risk management.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.

What role will you play?
Working closely with our Trading desks, you will provide middle office trade support to the Equity Trading and Derivatives business. In this role, you will collaborate with our Sales, Trading, Business Managers, and Technology teams to address various client-related matters, to deliver solutions to clients within competitive timeframes. You will also manage post-trade allocation and trade exceptions for synthetic clients, ensuring prompt and appropriate client service.
Additionally, you will participate in global and local projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing client experience, improving efficiency, reducing costs, mitigating operational risks, streamlining processes, and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
What you offer
- 3+ years of experience in prime brokerage middle office roles
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of cash prime brokerage or synthetic products
- Client-facing or front-office expertise is an advantage
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to liaise across multiple teams and regions
