Client Services Director DNA Recruit is partnering with a leading Shopper Marketing Agency to appoint a Client Services Director to drive UK and European growth from their Leeds hub, with regular travel to Newcastle. This senior leadership role goes far beyond in-store POS and e‑commerce assets, focusing on shopper strategy, category growth, retail engagement, and innovation to help global brands win at the point of purchase. Key Responsibilities

Identify and convert long‑term growth opportunities across brand, category, engagement, and innovation Build and grow senior client relationships, becoming a trusted strategic partner Lead annual planning, scope development, and commercial negotiations Partner with new business teams on pitches and onboarding of new clients Ensure the agency is embedded as a strategic partner within client organisations Oversee delivery across a major client portfolio, ensuring high‑quality, measurable output Shape responses to complex briefs across shopper, category, and retail strategy Champion ROI‑led thinking, KPIs, and effectiveness frameworks Own forecasting, budgeting, and margin performance across accounts Ensure strong scoping, resourcing, and delivery discipline Lead, mentor, and develop Account Directors and Account Managers Build a high‑performance, collaborative team culture Support succession planning and capability development Act as a senior voice in shaping client services, ways of working, and agency growth Stay ahead of shopper, retail, and category trends

Requirements

Proven experience in a senior client services or account leadership role within a shopper marketing, brand experience, or integrated agency Strong background across brand, category, and retail engagement work Proven commercial acumen with experience driving growth and profitability Experience managing complex, multi‑account portfolios Confident communicator and presenter at senior stakeholder level Experience delivering digital, content, and technology‑led campaigns Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams Natural relationship builder with gravitas, energy, and influence
