Are you an experienced leader with a passion for clinical transformation and operational excellence? We are seeking a dynamic Clinical and Operations Director to lead the development and delivery of the Target Operating Model (TOM) for a major capital project within the Norfolk and Waveney Healthcare system. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of care across the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group (NWUHG), supporting the New Hospital Programme (NHP) at both Queen Elizabeth Hospital and James Paget University Hospital. We will provide strategic leadership and assurance for a range of projects and co‑dependencies, ensuring our estate aligns with future clinical and professional needs and meets Hospital 2.0 standards. The role requires a strong background in NHS clinical transformation, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, including clinical and operational staff, system partners, ICB, NHSE, and NHP. Join us and help deliver a new era of healthcare for Norfolk and Waveney, lead the clinical and operational transformation across the programme, assuring delivery of an integrated TOM aligned to Hospital 2.0 strategic objectives, manage programme and scheme resources across both sites through matrix management, ensuring alignment with group transformation and ICB objectives, directly manage workstream leads for clinical transformation, operations, digital and workforce, maintaining strong links with group functions, engage and co‑design with a broad range of partners, stakeholders and service users, provide expert advice to executive and board forums, oversee the development of the TOM for the New QEH and Future Paget, ensuring alignment with NHP guidance and group clinical strategy, support business case development, ensuring requirements are met at group, NHP/NHSE and local levels, lead on investment objectives, critical success factors and monitor progress, plan and manage collaboration between clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless service integration in the new hospital model of care, and deputise for the Programme Director as required.
