Role - Cloud Integration Engineer
Location - Chorley, 3 days a week onsite
Salary - £50,000 to £60,000
Start - ASAP

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Cloud Integration Engineer to join our client as they grow their Business Technology function at an exciting stage of digital maturity.

Core systems are already in place across HR, Commercial and Operational teams. The next step is making them truly connected, intelligent and resilient. This role exists to lead that evolution.

You will take ownership of integration across the business, ensuring systems communicate seamlessly, data flows reliably, and automation replaces manual processes. This is not about standing up new infrastructure; it's about maturing what exists, completing unfinished integration work, and creating a stable, scalable integration ecosystem.

You'll report directly into the Technology leadership team and work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers and Support, but you will be the technical owner of integrations and the Azure platform.

The Role
As Cloud Integration Engineer, your focus will be delivering and owning integrations between core business systems.
You will:
Design, build and support integrations across HR, commercial and operational platforms
Ensure reliable data flow between systems (for example, enabling data to automatically populate into project and operational tools)
Design integrations with clear error handling, resilience and recovery mechanisms
Use Azure integration services such as Logic Apps and Azure Functions to build scalable, secure solutions
Manage identity and access integration using Azure Entra ID
Modernise and replace outdated automation processes
Deliver workflow and scripting automation to reduce manual processing
Design secure APIs or middleware to enable interoperability between systems
Work alongside Business Analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
Act as the technical owner for integrations — providing ongoing optimisation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
Support Azure platform governance, configuration and security best practice
There is also opportunity to contribute to more intelligent solutions over time, including AI-driven automation and agent-based capabilities, as the business continues to mature its digital strategy.

The Person
This role requires demonstrable integration delivery experience, not just cloud infrastructure exposure.

Essential Experience
Hands-on Azure integration tooling experience (e.g. Logic Apps, Azure Functions)
Experience integrating business systems using Azure services
Identity integration using Azure Entra ID
Strong understanding of APIs, data flow and system interoperability
Experience owning integrations beyond initial deployment
Desirable Experience
Delivering automation that reduced manual processing
Designing secure APIs or middleware
Integrating complex SaaS platforms (HR, ERP, operational systems)
Awareness or exposure to AI-driven automation or agent-based solutions
