Cloud Operations Engineer£30000-50000 GBPShift Payments, Bonus Onsite WORKINGLocation: 5 days on-site in Cheltenham , Gloucester, South West - United Kingdom Type: PermanentCloud Operations Engineer (Graduate - Lead)Cheltenham 5 days per week onsite £30,000-£50,000 plus bonus and shift premiumSC Clearance eligibility is a necessity; you must hold sole British Nationality.Our client is seeking Cloud Operations Engineers at graduate, mid, and lead level to join a secure cloud operations team supporting sensitive, mission-critical systems from a regulated on-site environment in Cheltenham.This role sits within a 24/7 operations function and includes participation in a shift rota, with additional shift premium paid.As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will:Support the operation of secure cloud platforms and underlying infrastructureTroubleshoot and resolve incidents, service issues, and user requestsManage and update support tickets, ensuring effective diagnosis and resolutionFollow documented runbooks and operational proceduresSupport incident management for high-priority or critical servicesContribute to continuous improvement activities to reduce operational issuesWork closely with engineers, platform teams, and technical stakeholdersThe following skills and experience are relevant for this role:Experience working with Linux-based systems (training or commercial experience)An interest in or experience with cloud infrastructure and platform operationsExposure to Kubernetes and containerised environmentsExposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformAbility to troubleshoot technical issues across infrastructure and platformsWillingness to learn and operate in a secure, highly regulated environmentAt Senior and Lead levels you will also:Lead or support engineers during shift and act as an escalation pointTake ownership of incident coordination and operational decision-makingMentor and support junior engineersImprove operational processes, runbooks, and technical standardsContribute to the overall technical direction and stability of the platformThe Package :• £30,000-£40,000 (Lead up to £50,000)• Bonus• Shift Premium• Pension/MedicalGet in touch with Connor Smyth at Anson McCade to hear more.Reference: AMC/CSM/COEPostcode: GL50 1EP#cosmJBRP1_UKTJ
