Were looking for a skilled and motivated Horizontal Borer Operator to join our busy and well-established machine shop.
If you take pride in precision machining and enjoy working with traditional equipment in a supportive team environment, this is a great opportunity to grow with a forward-thinking company.
What Youll Be DoingSetting up and operating a conventional horizontal borer
Working with lathes, milling machines, and drills
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Machining components to tight tolerances
Carrying out self-inspection to ensure high-quality standards
Supporting continuous improvement and maintaining workshop organisation
Essential:
Proven experience in a machining or engineering environment
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Confident operating a range of machine tools
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience with SH75 machines
Forklift licence
Overhead crane experience
Strong understanding of machine shop safety
Competitive salary (based on experience)
