The Role

We are seeking a CNC Machinist Specialist to join our client’s precision CNC machining operation at Ampthill. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an experienced machinist with strong programming capability and extensive multi-axis machining experience. You will be responsible for programming, setting, proving out, and operating a range of advanced CNC milling and turning machines (3 to 6 axis), producing high-value R&D, one-off, and low-volume precision components in support of complex defence programmes.

Key Responsibilities: Program, set, prove out, and operate CNC milling and turning machines in a precision machining environment. Select, optimise, and manage tooling to ensure high-quality and efficient machining performance. Manufacture high-value R&D, one-off, and low-volume production components to exacting standards.
