Our World leading client has an immediate requirement for several CNC Machinists for their new Weekend Shift. Successful candidates will be highly experienced with running complex 5 axis machining centres, ideally using Mazatrol Smooth operating software.Position Description:Setting and operating of 5 axis CNC machining centres for the manufacture of high precision, high quality, and low volume machined parts used in the assembly of critical systems supplied to the maritime industry.Responsibilities:Responsible for machining of parts on 5 axis CNC machining centresStropping, lifting and loading materials (use of slings and overhead cranes)Working to engineering drawings and making CNC programming editsTooling set up, support with program and process improvement activitiesUndertaking program prove out activities, parts measurement and inspectionEnsuring product quality and conformance to specificationPerform machine TPM activities and ensure good area housekeepingWork safely in line with the companies Health and Safety policyEssential Experience:High level of competency in setting and operating 5 axis machining centres.Experience of I.S.O programsUnderstand health & safety environment/proceduresWorking from Engineering drawingsUse of measuring equipment including verniers, stick mic's & probesSetup and machining of castings using dial indicators and probesEducation:Indentured apprenticeship or HNC / HND in a highly relevant engineering disciplineDesired Experience:CNC programming of parts including program generation, editing offline programmeMazatrol program edit and creation5 years (min) engineering experience within the manufacturing industry5 years (min) CNC programming knowledgeModern tool cutting knowledgeCAM experience (Mastercam & Edgecam)CI experience (Lean 7 wastes)Safety / 5S work ethicComputer literate (Microsoft)Manual handling, slinging and lifting, and use of cranes up to 3TSkills:Good communicator with all levels of business (written & verbal)Ability to drive improvementsQuality first mindset and ability to follow process and company standardsThe weekend shift will be on 12hr Days & Nights across Friday, Saturday and Sunday (so min 36hrs).For security reasons, applications can only be considered from EU/UK nationals, able to pass BPSS security clearance.We are looking for exceptional machinists, so the rate is highly competitive and includes subsidised accommodation and meals.To apply, or for more detail, please reach out with your latest CV toMorson Edge is acting as a recruitment business in relation to these vacancies.JBRP1_UKTJ
