Salary:£45,000 - £50,000Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Wood CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality wood components to precise specifications.Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC woodworking machines
  • Program and adjust CNC machines (e.g. using CAD/CAM software)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists
  • Select appropriate materials and tooling for each job
  • Monitor machine performance and ensure quality output
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating CNC machines in a woodworking environment
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with edge banders, beam saws, or other woodworking machinery
  • Knowledge of different wood types and materials
  • Previous experience in furniture, joinery, or manufacturing industries
