As CNC Manufacturing Support Engineer, join a growing, globally backed manufacturer in the defence sector, supplying equipment to the British military. This is a great opportunity to support and improve CNC machining operations within a well-established engineering business.Role OverviewProvide technical and project support across CNC machining, focusing on process improvement, tooling, documentation, and operator training. Youll work closely with production, engineering, and external partners to ensure high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and improve CNC machining processesDesign fixtures, tooling, and work-holding solutionsOptimise cutting tools and machining methodsCreate and maintain SOPs and manufacturing documentationDeliver operator trainingManage engineering projects and machine installationsCoordinate with suppliers and contractorsDrive continuous improvement initiativesRequirementsStrong CNC machining knowledge (milling essential)Experience with tooling, process improvement, and documentationAutoCAD proficiencyProject management experience (Microsoft Project preferred)ERP experience (e.g. SAP)Desirable:PRINCE2, CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor), precision industries experience, Lean/CI knowledge, ex-operator background.BenefitsMonThurs 07:0015:30, Fri 07:0012:0025 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service)7% employer pension contributionLife assurance (4x salary)Sick pay, wellbeing programme, cycle to work schemeFree parking with EV chargingFull job description available on request.Our client is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
