SALARY: Starting from £16.72 per hour (Competitive grading system) + Overtime + Benefits (weekly pay)
LOCATION: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Day Shift core hours - 39 hours per week, 7am 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am 11am Friday (working hours have some flexibility)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a CNC Miller / Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing organisation specialising in high-specification engineered components.
As a CNC Miller / Machinist you will effectively edit/program, set and operate a 4-axis vertical milling machine to produce orders on time and to the required high quality standards.

DUTIES
Your duties as the CNC Miller / Machinist include:
Set and operate CNC milling machines with FANUC controls
Machine a variety of materials including steels, stainless, aluminium bronze and exotics
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Edit and adjust existing CNC programs
Perform machine setups, tooling changes and offsets
Inspect components using manual measuring equipment
Monitor long cycle runs and maintain own quality standards
Identify and implement minor process improvements
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
Competent machinist, with experience from a similar role
NVQ 3 or equivalent in Engineering preferred
Able to understand engineering drawings
Able to set or modify existing programs
Use manual measuring equipment
Strong work ethic with good organisational skills
Willingness and ability to follow management directions to achieve results
Excellent timekeeping & communication skills
Enthusiasm and desire to learn
Ability to work alone and part of a team
