CNC Milling Machinist Setter Operator – Uxbridge, UK
We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist Setter Operator to join a leading UK manufacturing team specializing in high-performance and high-pressure valve systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, precision engineering environment with a company recognized globally for innovation and quality.
Role Overview: As a CNC Setter Operator, you will set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centres to produce precision components to exacting standards. The role demands strong machining expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Rate - £20 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centres, including pallet changers and multi-axis machines (experience with Matsuura is a plus).
* Load programs, set tool offsets, datums, and verify machine readiness before production.
* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation.
* Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
* Produce parts to tight tolerances using various materials.
* Apply precision measurement and inspection techniques.
* Edit programs, make offset adjustments, and change tools as needed.
