We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Cambridge that is looking to add a CNC Machine Operator to their growing shop floor team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience operating CNC machinery who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment and takes pride in keeping machines running efficiently.
The Role The successful candidate will support the machining team by operating and monitoring CNC machines to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating and minding CNC machines during production runs

Ensuring machines are running efficiently and safely

Monitoring production quality and reporting any issues

Supporting the shop floor team to maintain workflow and productivity

Performing basic machine adjustments where required

Working from engineering drawings and production specifications

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience operating CNC machines

Is comfortable working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment

Has strong attention to detail and quality standards

Is reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team

Can follow technical drawings and instructions

Experience setting or programming CNC machines would be a strong advantage , although this is not essential for the role.
