Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering team. This is a hands-on role involving programming, setting, and operating a range of 3-axis, 5-axis, and palletised 5-axis CNC milling machines, with some exposure to CNC wire-eroders. The successful candidate will lead within the milling section, overseeing a group of machines and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities: * Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines * Interpreting technical drawings and 3D digital models * Producing prototypes and low-volume batch runs * Performing in-process inspection using both CMM and manual gauges * Maintaining a clean and efficient working environment * Ensuring all parts meet required quality standards * Supporting and mentoring junior team members * Working collaboratively to maintain productivity and meet deadlines
Skills & Experience Required: * Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a machine shop * Time-served or apprenticeship-trained in precision engineering * Strong knowledge of Heid...
