CNC Programmer - £40,000 - £50,000 - Chelmsford

This is a hands-on, production-focused role for a CNC Programmer who can independently program, set up, and run 5-axis milling operations, producing aerospace-grade components from day one.

This is a shop-floor role first, you'll be programming, proving out toolpaths, and machining precision parts, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities:

Independently program 5-axis milling machines for aerospace and high-precision components Set up jobs, select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds Prove out programs and troubleshoot machining issues on the shop floor Maintain high-quality standards with micron-level tolerances Improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Must have:

Strong hands-on experience programming 5-axis milling machines (DMG MORI, Hermle, or equivalent) Confident in independently setting up and running jobs Solid understanding of metrology, GD&T, and high-precision machining

Nice to have:

Offline programming experience (NX, Mastercam, Fusion 360) Previous experience with aerospace or highly precise components
