Role: CNC ProgrammerLocation: CroydonSalary: Up to £40,000 depending on experienceWe are currently looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established engineering/manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys working on precision components and improving manufacturing processes.Responsibilities includeCreate, modify, and optimise CNC programs for milling and/or turning operationsSet up and prove out programs on CNC machinesWork closely with setters/operators and production teams to ensure efficient manufactureInterpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to improve cycle times and qualityCarry out program troubleshooting and continuous improvement activitiesEnsure all work meets quality and safety standardsSkills & ExperienceProven experience as a CNC Programmer within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of CNC machining (milling and/or turning)Experience with controls such as FANUC / Siemens (or similar)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsStrong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and materialsProblem-solving mindset with attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with CAD/CAM softwareBackground in high-precision engineering (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc.)Experience with multi-axis machiningWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
