CNC Lathe Operator - Abingdon
Pay: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour
Are you a mechanically skilled individual with experience operating CNC lathes? Our client, a reputable manufacturing company in Abingdon, is hiring a dedicated CNC Lathe Operator to join their team. What you'll be doing:

  • Operating CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep machines running smoothly
  • Performing quality checks on finished products using measurement tools
  • Managing materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Keeping an organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly
  • Monitoring stock levels for machined parts
What you'll bring:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively
  • Experience handling materials in a warehouse environment with safe practices
  • Familiarity with tooling setups and adjustments (preferred)
  • At least 1 year working with Fanuc controls
Additional details:
  • Full-time, permanent role
  • 37-hour week: 8am-4.30pm (Monday-Thursday), 8am-1pm (Friday)
  • Benefits include company pension, free onsite parking
Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
